MATC Continuation Weekend
A “continuation” weekend, on which you will have the opportunity to continue journeying with your brothers as you find strength in your true self in Christ and grow in familiarity and comfort with our ministry’s principles, processes, and teachings.
The weekend will follow the same ascent and descent as the attendee or “initiation” retreat so it will have a similar feel, with our usual emphasis on safety, sacred space, awareness, risk in community, and intentionality. There will be opportunities to facilitate and to be facilitated. And it will feature core concepts you already know: false and true self, emotions, blessing, etc.
There will be some differences, too: Unlike the initiation weekend, every man on the continuation weekend will be both attendee and staff man; we will be staffing for each other. And the content will build on the teachings of the attendee retreat, expanding your understanding. There will be more choice and a slower pace. And many of the processes will be different, but their aim to support each other extravagantly in Brotherhood as we bring our emotions and stories into the Light will be the same.
